Rajinikanth has inaugurated a hotel named The Spring in Nungambakkam a day before his birthday.

The place is very familiar to the superstars fans.. and yes… it was the same old Arunachala Inn, now renovated as the Spring maintained by Vasantha Bavan.

After launched the hotel, Rajini says, “When I wanted to come to Chennai to enter the film industry, my father’s instructions to me was simple. He asked me to invest in land first, so that it’ll help me get a steady income…”

Rajini, who marveled at the interiors of the hotel comparing them to a movie set.

Nostalgically, he reminisced, “After I bought this land, I had to work extra hard and so plunged myself into movies. I did more than 20 films in various languages that year to ensure that I repaid my debt!”

Lyricist Vairamuthu, in typical Rajini style, said, “You might have heard about three star and five star hotels. But, this is a Superstar hotel!”

An electrifying dance performance had the celebrities present clapping and cheering. Among those present at the event were directors Shankar and Susi Ganesan.
