Rajini -Kamal to attend the Platinum Jubilee of Kannada Film Industry

The top stars of Tamil cinema Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have confirmed their presence at the Platinum Jubilee of Kannada cinema spread out for three days in Bangalore from March 1 to 3.

The confirmation of Rajinikanth (acted in Kannada films like ‘Kathasangama’, ‘Sahodarara Saval’, ‘Ghalate Samsara’ and so on) and Kamal Haasan (‘Benkiyalli Aralidha Hoovu’, ‘Mariya My Darling’, ‘Pushpaka Vimana’, ‘Rama Shama Bhama’ and so on) has brought an additional cheerful mood to the ‘Amrutha Mahotsava’ event organized by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in association with government of Karnataka, Udhaya and Sun Feast group of companies.

The March 1, 2009 is the inaugural day. At 6 pm Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will inaugurate the Amrutha Mahotsava. From 7 pm to 11 pm the cultural feast from crazy star V.Ravichandran follows. On the 2nd of March, 108 Kannada film personalities, 50 prominent personalities from other language industries who have worked in Kannada cinema and 75 books on Kannada film personalities those who are not living with us will be released at Gayathri Vihar Palace. On 3rd March the seminar about Kannada cinema ‘Solu, Geluvu and Challenges’ is set to be conducted in a grand gala event.

From April 2009, the ‘Amrutha Mahotsava’ event will be held in each districts of Karnataka.
